Welcome!

After attending the ground breaking ceremony in October, 2010, Mary Ellen Ipiotis was inspired to create a BLOG about the massive desert rose sprouting forth on sacred grounds in Sandoval County.

C'mon in! Please make yourself at home. Join me with your commentary, questions, stories, photos, video's, any information you would like to share... about the new medical center, the land it is on, the people and places in the area, anything you think people would like to know.

Mary Ellen is listening and will be on the look out for you ~

Time Goes By

Ready or not time goes on. Every second we exist time slips away. We keep track of our lives in increments of time. Experiences are measured and filed as plans are made dependant on the time. The moments we count and recall based on the time and date. Time is a measurment of what is, was and will be. The appointment or schedule is set and time goes by. May time be good to you and you to the time you have. 🕊

November to December

Another time to reflect on the past month, the blessings, mishaps, good news and bad. A time also to look forward to the goodness that awaits. Meanwhile, as the calandar changes the present moment dares us to appreciate and respect each minute we are alive and well and able to make the best of what is.

Priceless and timeless gifts; Respect, love, kindness, peace, compassion, hope and joy!

March On

Into another month we go, another time and season with more reasons to hope in things that make life good with minimum hinderance as we travel the long winding roads. May April be healthy, happy and peaceful as we take the path of peace and joy, kindness and compassion.

THANKFUL

May we have something or someone, someplace, perhaps a time in life that felt
and feels so good, blessed, better and thankful. May good people, good food, good times
and good memories fill our life with joy and peace, love, laughter
and a good place to consider everything we have to be thankful for.
<><><><>
Merriam-Webster Dictionary
describes Thankful as;
glad that something has happened or not happened, that something or someone exists, etc. :
of, relating to, or expressing thanks. thankful.

Places Of The Heart

Here's to the superb, strange, wonderful, mysterious and sublime. To the things that make sense and the moments of enlightenment when they don't. To people and pets who make life livable and lovable. To art, science, space, time and places of the heart that can only be described as glimpses of heaven, where the sound of a baby cooing makes cherub angels blush with delight, where joy is like oxygen and peace is the most powerful weapon on the planet.

Here's to light in the darkness, understanding for the misunderstood and prayers for deliverance from a painful journey. To a good path to navigate and the strength, health and faith to take you where it leads you. Here's to a good life, good people and people trying to be good, for a clear view of everything we hold near, honor and cherish.

For this world of wonder one prays for resolution of wars, conflict, unrest. To consolation, comfort, kindness and a humanity that strives for justice and equality, for priceless, timeless love, compassion, respect and landmark times in life that make us pause to reflect on such places of the heart.

Lost In Time

One gets lost, becomes disoriented, desperate for calm in the storm, consolation from trauma all the urgency and despair yet time spent fretting over the blurred view of the imagination, turns out, is time squandered.

Super Moon

The moon is very close to earth at this time in accordance with astronomical science and generations of study involved with the vastness of outer space, and if the night sky is clear in central New Mexico on June 23, 2013 the moon will naturally appear extra large and extra lovely.

A big moon means a beyond beautiful and brightly lit night filled with an air of excitement and mystery. The lunar pull is like someone opening the blinds wide ready or not as the moon glow creates an irresistible energy the darkness must yield to the illumination meanwhile shadows shimmy and shake and bounce around hiding from the brilliance of the super spectacular moon. It is quite something to behold.

Life seems more alert a bit more tuned-in to it's own sensibilities and of matters not visible to the naked eye. Perhaps the roar of creation becomes a gentle purr as we are somehow more mindful of the infinite, the unknown, the massive amount of things we cannot even imagine much less understand. It keeps one guessing, wondering and waiting for the next amazing thing within our reach and far beyond.

April ☼ May

With a warm embrace April waves goodbye to May, like two old friends with a long history and much mutual respect and affection. The seasons roll into the other sometimes quietly and sometimes as if in a constant state of transition. Gears shift, the cycle of life continues on cue in accordance with time and the rhythm of life. Another Spring is upon us and the light of day grows longer, the earth springs forward, it is new yet very familiar.

There is a brand new sense of hope, anticipation for good things to come, new possibilities, the end for some and the beginning for others.

Here's to days filled with peace and goodness, fresh perspective and health of mind, body and soul.

Miracles

The first day of November arrives right on time, not a moment too soon as the new month begins, opportunities beacon, fresh beginnings await, possibilities abound and miracles wait for the perfect moments to occur. Landmark days take place, births, deaths, sickness and health require attention and tending to.  The second to the last month of the year seems to hold a certain mystery, and wonder stirs in the cool, clean air.
People get on with their lives, living as always, one day at a time hoping each day is better than the day before, hoping to stay healthy and happy or continually striving to get there. As seasons change, challenges emerge to remind us of the realities of life, of what was, what might be and hope the future unfolds peacefully, that life's lessons are gentle, kind and encouraging and that burdens are lifted, do not linger and move out much quicker than the days you wish... would last forever.

Axis

This week the Summer Solstice occurred. Wednesday, June 21st marked the longest day of the year.  From the North Pole, earth's axis tilts, a perfectly orchestrated symphony of time and space, the cosmos speak, "mother earth cries, heaven-the holiest of holy places, smiles",.. from Carlos Santana's classic 70s anthem; Europa. ☼ The sun tugs gently on her precious head,  considering the magnitude, longitude, altitude and overall physical nature of the power and purpose of this annual spectacle, it is epic, dynamic, calculated and colossal in scope for this star gazer while nothing short of a miracle.
Since before the dawn of time, yet more evidence of the magnificance beyond measure, of the blueprint of the cosmos laid bare for all to behold.
☼ Suddenly in the middle of the day the sun is suspended at it's farthest from the earth.  The maneuver is done in such a way that it does not appear to interrupt life as we understand it, or does it?
Again shifts occur, Summer is underway yet this part of the world draws closer to the shorter days of winter. Fascinating, unfathomable, the possibilities and variables, complexities-- in keeping the world spinning precisely. Given the vulnerable, amazing design, form and function of planet earth and it's dwellers.., humanity has endured much while evolving into a curious collection of life at it's worst and best, it's darkest and brightest.
