Welcome!

After attending the ground breaking ceremony in October, 2010, Mary Ellen Ipiotis was inspired to create a BLOG about the massive desert rose sprouting forth on sacred grounds in Sandoval County.

C'mon in! Please make yourself at home. Join me with your commentary, questions, stories, photos, video's, any information you would like to share... about the new medical center, the land it is on, the people and places in the area, anything you think people would like to know.

Mary Ellen is listening and will be on the look out for you ~

May Day's

May occurs in the Northern Hemisphere at spring time
full of hope a time for starting over when things like school ends as a new season awaits. The birthstone is Emerald which is associated with love and success. So right off the bat May babies got that going for them.

May Day, usually May 1st, recognizes workers worldwide. It has historically prompted a particular unity among those mindful of the day.

With regard to radio and telephone communications,
"MAYDAY" is an international indication of distress.

Mother's Day in the United States is celebrated in May. People tend to get misty and reflect on everything good about their beloved mothers. Flowers, special food and other gifts and gestures of love and appreciation are part of the celebration.

Memorial Day weekend occurs during the last weekend of May and gets folks ramped-up about BBQ's, fun activities, lounging and extra day's off from work or other regularly schuduled activities. People get a chance to unwind or gear up for whatever the weekend holds. It is a day of rememberance, a time to reflect on past lives, the soldiers and many others who have come and gone so often too soon.

May is a good feeling month. Hopefully May accompanies you with joy and the anticipation of even better days to come.
