Welcome!

After attending the ground breaking ceremony in October, 2010, Mary Ellen Ipiotis was inspired to create a BLOG about the massive desert rose sprouting forth on sacred grounds in Sandoval County.

C'mon in! Please make yourself at home. Join me with your commentary, questions, stories, photos, video's, any information you would like to share... about the new medical center, the land it is on, the people and places in the area, anything you think people would like to know.

Mary Ellen is listening and will be on the look out for you ~

Love

The chemist who can extract from his heart's elements,
compassion, respect, longing, patience, regret,
surprise and forgiveness and compound them into one
can create that atom which is called love.

New Season

Seems like the pages of the calendar were just changed a few days ago. The air and light are the more obvious changes occurring. It takes people a minute to adjust to the subtle and not so subtle transitions. The mind and body also shifts, gradually and sometimes suddenly.

May the new season bring everything good, happy and healthy! May your hopes and dreams keep you striving for excellence! May you continue to be a blessing and be blessed, by respect, love and peace.

November

We say goodbye to October and look forward to November. We hope for good days and brace ourselves for days that will bring challenges that we might think are unsurmountable yet we will somehow manage to see our way through.

We can bless each other with respect and kindness, tolerance, forgiveness and peace. We hope for good days ahead that will bring health of mind, body and spirit. As we turn the calendar to a new month let us stand tall and as hopeful for better days ahead, days that bring good natured spirits and joyful intention to enhance every day with goodness, sweet peace and quiet for our restless souls.

We pray for peace with all our hearts we pray for justice and our fair share of resources to enjoy life. What we can offer to one another goes beyond bill boards and television, social media and cell phones. What we can offer each other is the best of ourselves as we approach each day and each other with the utmost respect, it is that simple and more important than ever before. Here's to a good month ahead. Blessings good people to you and everything you hold dear and near. http://brunodelaroza.com/

Places Of The Heart

Here's to the superb, strange, wonderful, mysterious and sublime. To the things that make sense and the moments of enlightenment when they don't. To people and pets who make life livable and lovable. To art, science, space, time and places of the heart that can only be described as glimpses of heaven, where the sound of a baby cooing makes cherub angels blush with delight, where joy is like oxygen and peace is the most powerful weapon on the planet.

Here's to light in the darkness, understanding for the misunderstood and prayers for deliverance from a painful journey. To a good path to navigate and the strength, health and faith to take you where it leads you. Here's to a good life, good people and people trying to be good, for a clear view of everything we hold near, honor and cherish.

For this world of wonder one prays for resolution of wars, conflict, unrest. To consolation, comfort, kindness and a humanity that strives for justice and equality, for priceless, timeless love, compassion, respect and landmark times in life that make us pause to reflect on such places of the heart.

Eternal Flame

May the eternal flame of peace, love and goodness endure. May compassion shine brighter everyday, until mankind distinguishes the furious fire raging among a humanity starving for respect and the essential necessities of life.

May you find quiet ports in your storms and may your hopes, dreams and prayers be lifted to an elevated place where you can share your blessings and lighten the burdens of those who do not know how or cannot lift themselves up, and may every drop of love and goodness that you receive flow freely from you into the broken hearts and spirits of those who can only imagine such riches.

The streets of Rio Rancho are bit busier during the transition of Summer, as that precarious time of year rolls in with radio, TV, newspaper and other advertisements indicating the winding down of a perfectly good summer. A sense of urgency is created as high spirited, shiny, colorful ads sing the praises of outfitting yourself with brand new goods, fresh stuff, essentials in the way of school supplies, clothes, transportation and food.
Families figure out ways to get the kids to school, is the school bus an option or can someone drop them off and pick them up? High school age students and adults enroll in classes in an effort to propel themselves further along in their chosen fields of interest. From books and schedules to aspiring athletes trying-out for their respective sport to musicians and singers auditioning for the band or choir, school pictures and fund raisers, theatre goings-on, concert performances, Homecoming festivities and various competitions; all components set-up to compliment scholastic achievements as students and families engage in the whole eduacational experience.

School seems to define us when we are in the middle of it, everything evolves around it. It is  necessary to our understanding of the world and our bridge of hope for a good life.  With school comes more options, opportunities and possibilities to propel ourselves into the next level. The quality of life is enhanced with education and learning, positive growth and healthy physical, mental and intellectual development takes place. The education process can be simple at once fantastic and challenging, always with the potential to change lives for the better, far into the future.

Remember

We remember the soldiers, warriors, defenders of freedom. We remember the brave heart's who fought the good fight and who continue to be missed today. We honor those who will never be forgotten and think of them endearingly, with love, respect and gratitude for their part in our lives ~

Due Date

The anticipation grows as the hospital nears completion. It is kind of like everyone eagerly awaiting the arrival of a brand new baby. The waiting and wondering about how everything will be, will the child be healthy and happy, have all it's senses, fingers and toes, curly hair or any hair? Will it look like this person or that one? Will the newborn that is almost ready for delivery- continue to evolve into the best it can be?
"God Bless The Child" and pray this miracle will always be safe, properly cared for, loved and respected, in turn, treats all people with kindness and is a blessing constantly striving to be good and on the ready for whatever life has in store, and is able to stand tall with strength, courage, confidence and knowledge far into the future. ~

July

This is the time of year when the summer is full-on, The 4th of July is eagerly anticipated, people are in the middle of vacations, projects at home, sports activities, camping, fishing, relaxing on the porch, planning what to grill on the barbecue, baseball, our independence, red, white and blue and fireworks, although this year for obvious reasons, the colorful but explosive pyrotechnics of any manner, were strongly discouraged, in fact strictly prohibited in most areas around the region.

Spring and Summer 2011 in the Southwest, so far has been hot as the dry desert and forest becomes fuel for the tiniest spark. Tens of thousands of acres-scorched, animals, homes, cabins and other dwellings up in unforgiving flames, wild, rampant, defying those who attempt to stop it.

From the threat to Los Alamos National Laboratory and the entire town needing to evacuate to countless  life threatening emergencies as hundreds of fire crews are dispatched to stand-up to the monstrous inferno.

Where as rain would be a tremendous help, in contrast the impending rainy season also brings with it, thunder and lighting storms which are accompanied by more fire danger and imminent floods. The line between thriving forests/safe habitats and man made and natural disasters is delicate with a vulnerability that hangs on the balance making it a must to respect and take care of our environment and natural resources.
